1. The candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the principles of
the common law may be tested by questions on:

- The candidate’s understanding of the basic principles of land law and the manner in which they apply to Convincing transactions.
- The candidate’s understanding of the basic principles of contract law and the manner in which they apply to Convincing transactions.
- A working knowledge of the legal system.
- A working knowledge of the principal statutes and substantive law as they apply to actions in:

| In answering the questions put by the examiners of the Oral Head the candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to use English appropriately, coherently, precisely and clearly |
