QLTT Syllabus - HEAD IV

The candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  1. Knowledge and understanding of the principles of the common law.

  2. Competence in the English Language.

1. The candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the principles of
    the common law may be tested by questions on:

 

  • The candidate’s understanding of the basic principles of land law and the manner in which they apply to Convincing transactions.
  • The candidate’s understanding of the basic principles of contract law and the manner in which they apply to Convincing transactions.
  • A working knowledge of the legal system.
  • A working knowledge of the principal statutes and substantive law as they apply to actions in:
  • Contract
  • Tort
2. Competence in the English Language.

 

In answering the questions put by the examiners of the Oral Head the candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to use English appropriately, coherently, precisely and clearly
